Opposition leader Jam Madad stated that he condemns the abrasive attitude that the junior doctors displayed when veteran journalist Sabihuddin Ghausi was brought to a hospital for emergency treatment and demanded that an inquiry be made into the matter. Later, Information Minister Shazia Marri and Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro revealed that a committee will be constituted, in collaboration with the Sindh Health Department, to conduct a probe into the negative attitude meted out to Mr. Ghausi.
Shazia Marri also revealed that financial assistance for medical purposes will also be provided to journalists. Ghausi was hospitalised following a serious ailment and has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital.
