Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan along with City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal will inaugurate Pakistan’s first ever vehicle parking plaza in Saddar today.
The seven storey parking plaza which is first ever facility in Karachi for parking of vehicles would have the capacity of containing 700 vehicles and 500 motor bikes at one time. Besides the building would also have modern shopping center and offices.
The Parking Plaza has also been equipped with fire fighting system and heavy elevators with backed up by generators to carry vehicles to upper floors of the building.
The City Government has also prepared a traffic management plan for Saddar area while a shuttle bus service would be run by the contractors to facilitate the motorists in Saddar area and users of parking plaza.
City Government has also started work on the construction of second parking plaza near Empress Market Saddar.
