MQM RABITA COMMITTEE CONDEMNS KILLING OF WORKERS BY LYARI GANGSTERS

MQM Rabita Committee has condemned the killing of two of its workers by criminal elements of Lyari gang war. In a statement the Co-ordination Committee said that MQM Workers from unit 132, Qasba Aligarh sector, Karachi, Muhammad Azhar-ul-Hassan alias Fasih S/O Zafar-ul- Hassan and Muhammad Asif S/O Abdul Majeed were abducted by drug peddlers and armed thugs of Lyari gang war and tortured to death. It termed the murders as an attempt to destroy the peace of the city.

The Co-ordination Committee said that Muhammad Azhar-ul-Hassan and Muhammad Asif had gone to Kharadar where they were kidnapped by the armed criminals and taken to some unknown locations. They were tortured all night and their riddled bodies were dumped in Yousuf Goth and Saeedabad in Karachi. The Co-ordination Committee said that it was evident that some elements were deliberately destroying peace in the city by creating a wave of terror.

The Co-ordination Committee said that in the year 2009 and 2010, more than 200 workers and supporters were killed but not a single killer was arrested. It appealed to MQM workers to remain patient and foil the conspiracy to destroy peace.

The Co-ordination Committee demanded President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of the abduction and killing of Muhammad Azhar-ul-Hassan and Muhammad Asif and bring the killers to justice. The Co-ordination Committee sympathized with the bereaved families and prayed to give them patience to bear this loss.
